Accommodation, on farm, self contained shearers quarters. Sleeps four.

Enjoy the peaceful and private surrounds, all to yourself. Good for easy weekends or even week nights.

Stop over when touring through NSW. Explore the central west.

Fishing in Wyangla and the Abercrombie river, is in easy reach.

You can come and do the chores, feed the chooks, collect the eggs, feed the poddies and the work dogs each after noon. Please ask when booking.†

Every day farm activities are not included when staying in The Hut.

 

The quarters have an electric stove, fridge and microwave. Electric heating, along with electric blankets, adding to your comfort.

Plates, pots, pans and cutlery are included.

A gas BBQ is provided for your use.

There is a DVD player and a flat screen television.

For those that like to have a deep soaking bath, a genuine claw foot bath for your pleasure.

A swimming pool and tennis court are available when you stay at Thummy Jacks.

Horse riding can be arranged.

Enjoy the camp fire area, you can try your hand at fire side cooking! Or at least roast a marshmallow.

Fire wood provided.

Fire restrictions permitting.

You are welcome to walk along Thummbies creek, which was fenced out of grazing in 2006 and planted with native trees, allowing bird life to return, and just recently a Rakali (Water Rat) pair have been seen.

As well the creek has schools of Galaxias fish, that you may see in the water holes.†

HISTORY

Thummy Jacks Sheep Station is the name of the property that Barnard Stimpson owned near Carcoar NSW.

Barnard was a convict that later went on to become the mayor of Carcoar.

The property is currently the site of the Dairy Park shearing shed and shearers quarters.

The shearers quarters building was originally the Mandurama Billiards Hall, moved to† its present site in the late 1950ís, after being used as the garage at the original Dairy Park homestead.
